The SwiftPaws Home Original Lure Course

“The rabbit is fictional. The invoice is not.”

A very expensive argument with a flag.

The short version

Our first impression

Internet find — not personally tested. The current Original kit excludes its battery; budget for a compatible one. Follow the maker’s setup and play guidance, clear the course, supervise short sessions, and let the dog catch the lure. Listed maximum speed is a limit, not a target. A powered backyard course drags a lure around pulleys so your dog can pursue a career in aggressively missing the point. We have not put this through a Pickles-and-Bear test yet; this is an editorial preview, not a hands-on verdict.

Best for

Chase-loving dogs with a suitable fenced yard and owners ready to become part-time track officials.

The evidence

Good dog. Questionable purchase.

This one is waiting for a real-dog test. The scorecard reflects our editorial first impression of the design, use case and entertainment potential.

The good

  • Adjustable course layout
  • A different game from throwing a ball
  • App control for compatible current hardware

The nonsense

  • Premium price plus separate battery
  • Needs setup, clear space and supervision
  • Some dogs will ignore your new infrastructure
