Canine Boarding RampThe PetSafe Happy Ride Extra Long Ramp
“His private jet is a Subaru.”
First-class boarding. Economy-class snacks.
The short version
Our first impression
Internet find — not personally tested. The maker lists an 18-pound ramp extending from 47 to 87 inches. Check vehicle fit and footing, introduce it flat on the ground first, and guide your dog slowly. A ramp still needs a competent ground crew. An aluminum boarding bridge for the passenger who sheds on the upholstery and contributes absolutely nothing toward gas. We have not put this through a Pickles-and-Bear test yet; this is an editorial preview, not a hands-on verdict.
Best for
Car passengers who need a gentler entrance, and humans whose lifting career has reached its final season.
The evidence
Good dog. Questionable purchase.
This one is waiting for a real-dog test. The scorecard reflects our editorial first impression of the design, use case and entertainment potential.
The good
- Adjustable length for different vehicles
- Wide traction surface with side rails
- Slides together for storage
The nonsense
- 18 pounds of equipment to lift
